Chief Judge Lance E. Walker of the United States District Court for the District of Maine has announced that Jennifer P. Lyons, Esq., will become the next Clerk of Court for the District, starting February 2, 2026.

Lyons is a graduate of Wellesley College and New York University School of Law. She has worked in private practice and spent more than two decades serving the federal courts in Maine. Her previous roles include law clerk positions with both Judge Morton A. Brody and Judge George Z. Singal. Most recently, she was Chief Deputy Clerk at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maine. Lyons is admitted to practice law in both New York and Maine.
