Former Lewiston man sentenced to prison for cyberstalking in federal court

A former Lewiston resident, Brent Ouellette, was sentenced on April 16 in U.S. District Court in Portland for stalking his victim using facilities of interstate or foreign commerce.

U.S. District Judge Stacey D. Neumann ordered Ouellette, age 34, to serve 18 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release. Ouellette had pleaded guilty to the charge on August 20, 2025.

According to court records, Ouellette’s actions included posting sexually explicit videos or images of his victim online without consent, impersonating other people when contacting the victim, and obtaining the victim’s social media login information. The FBI led the investigation with help from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
